The importance of business relationships
It is always a pleasure to catch up with friends or colleagues you haven't seen in a while. When you're able to pick up exactly where you left off is testament to great personal relationships built on much more than just 'work'.
That genuine smile. The giddiness in asking the latest gossip, or genuinely wanting to know how the family is, is priceless rather than the awkward small talk when someone you know really just wants a sales lead. Genuine relationships are something you can't fake.
Recently I've been able to have several of these catchups and as Autumn closes in and the seasons change, I'm loving reconnecting with people whom for one reason or another I haven't seen in a while.
Often 10 minutes with an old friend provides the advice you didn't know you needed, or the support to someone else who needs it but hadn't yet asked.
This is the real value in business relationships and the truth is if they're built on genuine stuff they don't fade!!
Who haven't you seen in a while? Drop them a message, I'm sure they would love to hear from you!
